Media technology company Media E2E is launching a TV programme guide called Zipazap on the internet and mobile (WAP-enabled). Zipazap, claiming to be first such service in India, will help viewers keep track of television shows on move. It will provide users programme descriptions, star casts and even viewer recommendations. It can also allow users to set email and SMS alerts as reminders for their preferred shows.
Media E2E has launched this service since India is going to be a large TV market with some 500 television channels expected to churning out as many as 75,000 programmes per week. The service may be offered on an IVR platform too, and the company is in talks with technology providers for it.
