Kuwait-based Wataniya Telecom will launch a mobile TV service across the Middle East and Africa, reports C21 Media. The 3G mobile TV service is offered by Irish firm Vimio. It will cost between US$12 and US$20 per month and will feature a range of as-yet unnamed live TV channels. Wataniya has 8.8 million subscribers across Kuwait, Iraq, Tunisia, the Maldives, Saudi Arabia and Algeria. It is in the process of launching a mobile operation in Palestine, and earlier this month Qatar Telecom bought 51 percent of Wataniya for $3.7 billion.
