Content Roundup: Linerider, Comedy Time, Skipping Stone IQ

–The wonderful toy Linerider is going mobile, with the owner inXile Entertainment and In-Fusio partnering to bring the toy out in September this year. It’s a great toy with a massive following — for those who haven’t come across it, you draw lines with your mouse and have a little bob-sledding guy travel along them according to some basic rules. Players will be able to upload their creations onto the website for others to view, as well as send them wirelessly to other handsets. I think playability will be a huge challenge, I’m interested to see how they’ll handle the drawing tool on a mobile phone.(release)
–Comedy Time Network, a made-for-mobile network of clips of stand-up comedians, has signed a deal with ClipSyndicate to distribute the clips to online sites. (release)
–South Korean company Gamevil has released Skipping Stone IQ, a sequel to its hit one-thumb game Skipping Stone. The new game is a puzzle/brain game, dubbed a sequel because it keeps the same characters as Skipping Stone. When you finish you can “upload your IQ to GAMEVIL Live to see how you fare against fellow deep thinkers”.
–mBlox is working with travel and transport information company OAG to deliver a global SMS flight status alert service to the Star Alliance network, notes Breaking Travel News. It is available from the web site and provides passengers with free SMS and e-mail alerts about the progress of their flights.
