After a year with an interim CEO and not a lot of emphasis on senior management, suddenly ClickStar seems to have a full exec suite. A week after CEO James Ackerman’s departure was leaked — he was labeled interim for roughly a year — here comes a batch of exec announcements from ClickStar CEO Lori McCreary:
— Dan Graham has been promoted to COO from SVP-operations. He chairs the executive steering committee for the ClickStar service.
— Stuart Halperin joins the company as CMO, responsible for marketing and sales as well as managing consumer products and content. He headed marketing for MovieTickets.com, co-founded Hollywood online (now Hollywood.com) and worked in marketing for studios.
— Sam Edge joins as CTO, overseeing the content distribution network and technology strategy.
— Other promotions include Darren Cross to VP-acquisitions and business development, and Michael Bloom to VP-content and programming.
