Shanghai-based Meta4 Group, which operates WorldFriends Networks, a provider of multi-lingual online personals, has secured $2.5 million in funding from several investors, including Nicholas Paine and Bruce Croxon, the co-founders of online dating site Lavalife. The company plans to use the funds for promotions, particularly in North Asia. WorldFriends currently has over 200 website partners and 1 million registered members, it says. Release
