Entertainment Media Works (EMW) has announced a $4 million first round of institutional funding from Granite Ventures. The new financing will support continued development of EMW’s technology and media solutions. EMW aims to help brands highlight their products in the media by tracking the effectiveness of product placement and help consumers buy products they see in that media — it lets consumers identify, bookmark, share and purchase any product they see in any media through its portal StarStyle, and syndicates its content and technology to other networks.
