The Dow Jones board of directors will name M. Peter McPherson as chairman of the board on April 18, when the company holds its annual shareholder meeting. McPherson, 66, has served as an independent director of Dow Jones since 1998. He will succeed Peter Kann, who will retire from the company and the board at the annual meeting. With two other forthcoming board vacancies, Dow Jones will also nominate John Brock, CEO, Coca-Cola Enterprises, and Paul Sagan, CEO, Akamai Technologies, among the 16 director nominees standing for election to the board at the annual meeting.
