Liberty Media Buys Levin’s Useful Networks

Somehow this one slipped from my notice last week: Mobliss co-founder Brian Levin, who left and started another company Useful Networks, has now sold his new company to Liberty Media, reports RCR.
Liberty Media subsidiary TruePosition acquired Useful, a developer of mobile location technology and apps. Both Liberty and Useful are Denver-area companies.
Levin co-founded Useful with David Hose, the former founder of SignalSoft (now part of Openwave) and Brian Voigt, a fellow SignalSoft/Openwave alum.
DenverPost: Levin said Useful will keep its headquarters in Broomfield, where it employs 13 people. He said he expects the company to employ about 35 workers by year’s end.
