This is interesting: Sesame Workshop India is using mobile phones to allow children without access to a TV set to view Galli Galli Sim Sim, India’s version of Sesame Street. I guess when Mobile TV comes in, they’ll be able to watch live programming. Someone was telling me the other day that there are mobile handsets in the works with internal projectors that can be used to display smallish (around 15″x15″) picture. Sounds like sci-fi to me, given that it will be a major drain on the battery.
