Games2Win has signed up a team of professional gamers from India who will compete in key gaming tournaments in India and abroad. The team is called Temple of 7, or T7, and comprises mostly of the winners of gaming tournaments in India. T7 will be focusing on two games – Need For Speed and Counter Strike. Games2Win will solicit sponsorships for the team, for ground level promotions for brands
Last month, I’d gone for SKOAR!2007, and Fnatic were quite a star attraction at the Gamebox National Championship.

As such, not many content providers at the Expo, though. Mostly equipment vendors, telcos offering broadband connections, some development companies looking to hire, and Yahoo constantly getting people to yodel…It was more of a picnic, or a space for freebies for most people, but the exhibitors didn’t seem to mind that. For many, it was about introducing people, particularly kids, to gaming. Come to think of it, piracy has probably allowed gaming to become a part of youth culture in India, because the retail prices are prohibitory.
