I’m in Las Vegas for what may be the most tame NBA All-Star Weekend event, the 8th Annual NBA Tech Summit. The town is already crazy — at 10 a.m. four days before the game, the airport’s baggage claim was already near gridlock and the strip isn’t far behind. I didn’t think it could be crazier than CES. I was wrong. The picture here is from a bus making the rounds; T-Mobile is making a huge push for the limited edition D-Wade Sidekick.
Inside the Bellagio, where the half-day gathering of sports and network execs, tech leaders, and marketers takes place Friday, life is a tad calmer. After the summit, it’s over to Mandalay Bay for the NBA Jam Session and maybe some 3DHD viewing before heading out on the red eye. Should be fun.
