Cisco Gives Apple More Time To Resolve Trademark Conflict

Cisco has said it will give Apple an extension until Wednesday (February 21) to respond to the lawsuit it recently filed over the iPhone trademark. Cisco sued Apple for trademark infringement in January after Apple announced its new multimedia phone would be called the iPhone, a name Cisco also uses for one of its products. It’s the second extension on the deadline. However, the discussions are now not only aimed at reaching an agreement on trademark rights; they have extended to focus on interoperability between the products.
