Perhaps this is a sign that the younger TV audience in India is slowly shifting online. MTV India will be using the Internet to market their new cricket comedy show Aila Tendulkar, reports Indiantelevision.com. The show is being created to suit the digital format since screen sizes on the Internet and mobile are typically smaller. Short clips – 30 to 45 seconds long – are going to be available online at mtvindia.com, Rediff, Google (YouTube?) and Yahoo, and on mobile at wap.mtvindia.com and Reliance’s RWorld. More at Indiantelevision.com.
I just checked and the WAP site lists and links to content from Aila Tendulkar, but it isn’t available for viewing yet.
