Telecoms Korea has a story titled “Spain To Adopt Korean Mobile TV Standard”, but it’s behind a subscription wall so I can’t get to the details of the story. The Korea Times has a less sensational version about a meeting between Korean President Roh Moo-Hyun and Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero. The duo will “discuss joint strategies to make inroads into Latin American markets, while seeking cooperation in the information-technology (IT) fields such as WiBro and DMB, Roh’s spokesman Yoon Seong-yong said in a press briefing”. I can see the benefits to such a partnership, even if Spain itself doesn’t implement either standard.
