Reliance plans to enable mobile share trading, once SEBI allows it, says Mahesh Prasad, President-Application Solutions & Content Group for Reliance Communications, as per an article on stock market games in the Economic Times. For now, they’re making do with the stock market game, which Prasad claims has been well received. I’m just wondering – what are the security issues involved with trading using the mobile?
The story also covers a few initiatives in trading related gaming – not necessarily those covered in India. I think simulations are good practice for the real thing, but if too many companies do trading simulations, it will boil down to who has the greater marketing strength for pulling in gamers. There a few stock market games around in 1999-2000, but most of them shut down.
