Irish Mobile Software Firm Raises US$10 million

Aepona, a mobile software company headquartered in Northern Ireland, has received US$10 million in a venture capital round subscribed to by existing investors, including Amadeus Capital Partners, Polaris Ventures and Trinity Venture Capital. This latest funding round brings total investment in the company to US$45 million. The company supplies operators a framework on which they can develop and deliver a broad range of operator- and 3rd party-developed value added services. It reported revenues last year of US$11 million and counts major contracts from global mobile operators including France Telecom/Orange, Sprint in the U.S. and Bridge Mobile Alliance in Asia.
