Vizu, a San Francisco-based market research firm helping companies develop surveys and distribute it on publishers’ sites, has received $2.9 million in first round of funding, led by a $1.5 million investment from Draper Fisher Jurvetson. The company main product, Vizu Answers, is a do-it-yourself opinion polling and market research service. A good video explaining the service is here on CNET.
The company was founded in 2005, and other previous investors include WR Hambrecht + Co, Amicus, LLC and angel investors including Ron Conway, Esther Dyson, Mike Maples, Jr., and Dave Whorton. Some more details in the release.
