HT-Times Combine's Delhi Metro Paper To Hit Market Soon

As HT Media’s new business paper Mint is hitting readers’ doorsteps on Thursday morning, Delhi readers will be treated to another newspaper next week. The new metro newspaper -called Metro Now – is likely to be launched on February 5, reports Exchange4Media.com. The offering is from Metropolitan Media Group, a joint venture between HT Media and The Times of India Group. It is a 48-page, compact daily, and will be published six days a week. The copy will be priced at Re 1.
ContentSutra was the first to report about a 50:50 JV between HT and Times for a Delhi metro offering. The JV is headed by Sameer Kapoor (formerly with Scholastic India) as President.
The Times Group chose to go with HT for its Delhi offering, while it has gone solo for its Mumbai metro product, Mumbai Mirror.
