Verisign, which earlier this week did a restructuring of its business units, has reported its Q406 earnings…and the relevant portions for us:
— The Content group generated revenues of $90 million (compared to $89 million in Q306), which includes $72 million for Jamba/Jamster B2C services and $18 million from B2B services.
Also earlier this week, its Jamba unit’s majority sale to News Corp was also finalized. VeriSign received approximately $188 million for the sale.
News Corp took a 51 percent stake in Jamba (in U.S. operating as Jamster) and will close the deal on Jan 31st. The JV combines Jamba and Fox Mobile Entertainment asset….Lucy Hood, who was formerly President of Fox Mobile Entertainment, will become the company’s CEO.
