Sify has filed a lawsuit against Yahoo Inc. in Santa Clara Superior Court, accusing it of unfair practices- “misappropriation of trade secrets, raiding its management organization and theft of Sify corporate opportunities”- reports the San Jose Business Journal (requires subscription). The case was filed on the 18th of December 2006. We’ve contacted Sify, and are awaiting comments on the same. Some details are available here.
Earlier in November 2006, Sify had registered a complaint against six Yahoo employees for allegedly forging identity cards and taking pictures at the Lakme Fashion Week, for which the Sify site SifyMax was the official broadband partner; Yahoo India MD George Zacharias and Content Head Ajay Nambiar had taken interim bail from the Madras High Court to prevent arrest.
