CDC Mobile To Invest $20 million In BBMF Group

CDC Mobile plans to invest $20 million in Japan’s BBMF Group as part of its plan to gain first mover advantage in the Chinese 3G (or 4G) mobile content market, reports Wireless Week. “Drawing from a $100 million fund, CDC Mobile will invest $20 million in BBMF Group, forming a strategic alliance that will target the Japanese and Chinese 3G markets. CDC will have first rights to distribute BBMF’s content in China.” We wrote about the fund a week ago. BBMF content includes mobile comics, games, files and titles.
Forbes is also reporting that CDC has signed an agreement with Nokia to pre-install its proprietary software in selected Nokia mobile phones sold in China.
