Verisign has done a major reorg of its business structure and executive team. It will combine its sales and consulting-services teams in one division and assemble its products in a second group. The company is now organized into three units: security, information services and communications services. Mobile content falls under the communications group.
Communications services head Vernon Irvin left VeriSign in November, taking a severance payment of $683,520. He is now CMO at XM Satellite.
