MySpace confirmed rumors that it has been testing a local Mexico-based site. Also, the News Corp. social networking company plans to more than double the number of countries it will operate in by the end of the year, a senior MySpace executive told Reuters on Wednesday. MySpace currently operates in nine global regions, including the U.S., UK, France, Germany and Japan. News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch has said the company planned to operate in 11 markets over time and has its eyes on the China market.
