Some interesting details about Amp’d Mobile’s upcoming launch in Canada, through its deal with Telus. It will launch on March 14, the day when cellphone numbers become portable by Canadian law, an incentive for users to moves. “We’re going to be the only people in the market with nothing to lose,” Chris Houston, president of Amp’d Mobile Canada, said. “In the States, you’re seeing industry-wide data ARPU is $6, whereas we’re achieving a $30-plus-data ARPU…I think we’re in very similar market conditions in the Canadian market.”
