In what will bring another round of protests from the curmudgeons, BBC is set to recruit dozens of ad executives as it looks to bolster its overseas website income, as soon as the plan gets approved by the corporation, reports Independent.
The proposal to sell ads on international sites has already been approved by a committee of senior editorial figures at the BBC, as well as by the corporation’s executive management board. The plan now requires the approval of the BBC Trust.
