Swish Group, a major producer of digital entertainment in Australia, is purchasing the remaining stake in Amphead Entertainment, National Nine News reports. Swish acquired 51 percent of Amphead in April 2006 and will buy the remaining 49 percent with three million fully-paid Swish Group shares, and a component based on the performance of the business in the next two years. Amphead has an exclusive agreement with US-based online music aggregator The Orchard. It also provides global distribution for Australian artists through online retailers in 73 countries and has an international catalogue of more than one million audio and video tracks. As we reported last year, the new entity will be called Swish Amphead Entertainment.
