Amp’d Mobile has signed deals with more social networking companies. The new deals are with Facebook.com, Freewebs.com and Livejournal.com, with Amp’d saying it will “launch optimized mobile gateways for each of the social networking Web sites and develop branded entertainment and music-themed experiences with each partner”, reports RCRNews. Amp’d plans to tailor its phone and rate plans to suit the audience of each website, which is a good idea. The deal with Livejournal.com is exclusive for 2007 — Amp’d is going the right way by offering choice, but it would be good for the social networkers to take the same road. Exclusivity doesn’t really help here.
