Guruji.com Launches Pune City Search

Guruji.com, an Indian search engine backed by Sequoia Capital India, just announced that they have launched city search for Pune. The statement said it will help Pune users to get accurate search results and an improved user experience.
What I like about Pune is the Shrewsbury biscuits the city’s Khodayar Kayani Baker’s Confectionery sells. Whenever my friends come down from Pune to Delhi, they bring along a couple of boxes of Shrewsbury for me. Real yum biscuits!
I decided to search for Shrewsbury on Guruji.com’s local search, but I couldn’t find any results. I searched for Kayani Bakery, I found an entry courtesy Infomedia Yellow Pages.
It seems Guruji has just digitised the Infomedia Yellow Pages. So the results have only the address and phone numbers and do not search for related content. Guruji definitely has immense scope to improve their search and content in City search. It should combine the Yellow Pages and also crawl the related web content for City search.
