It’s a little off our beaten path but a fourth screen beyond TV, PC and mobile is starting to gain the tiniest bit of traction: car. Largely the province of back seat DVD players until now, the car dashboard is becoming more prevalent as GPS prices drop and car stereos become more elaborate. (Wish I had a dollar for every GPS unit flogged in holiday ads; I’d have one installed by now.) Odds are we’re due for a flurry of such announcements; today’s installment is a deal between Yahoo and Dash Navigation to incorporate Yahoo Local Search into its internet-connected GPS Dash Express.
