The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Kevin Martin has announced the new head of the agency’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau, which has lacked a permanent head since mid-2005. Martin has appointed Fred Campbell to the post — he is described as Martin’s wireless advisor and “top wireless staffer”. Martin replaces Catherine Seidel, who has been the acting wireless bureau since April 2005, with Seidel moving to be the new Chief of the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau.
