Webaroo, a Santa Clara, CA-based startup that archives web content on laptops and PCs so that users can access information without being connected to the Internet, has raised $7.5 million of a $10 million second round funding. The investors include Cambrian Fund, Lloyd George Asian Plus Fund and HTSG of Mauritius, according to a regulatory filing with SEC. Webaroo had raised $1.5 million in first round funding from Hummer Winblad Venture Partners.
Webaroo is founded by former Junglee CEO Rakesh Mathur and Elance founder Beerud Sheth.
