This is a blatant PR stunt, fishing for more deals, and who better to “leak” it to than Economic Times: RPG group entertainment/music firm Saregama India has done a pre-loaded music deal with Nokia, where some of their albums/songs are on the Nokia handsets. Now, the ET story says, it is in talks with Motorola and Sony Ericsson.
Saregama, popular for its HMV brand, is also looking to move into ringtones and other kinds of digital music services, besides just being a distributor. And ET does a horrible PR jobs for them to help them on their way.
