The Economist has done a Face Value on Sanjeev Aggarwal, former founder of Daksh eServices and one of the founding partners of Helion Venture Partrners. Aggarwal was a quintessential Indian techie who left his safe job at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), an American multinational, in 2000 and launched his own start-up from a garage. It was initially just an email-based customer support service provider. They were later handling the customer support services for e-commerce company Amazon. By 2004, the company had grown into about 6,000 people, and that was the time Aggarwal sold the company to IBM.
Aggarwal through Helion is now looking to help entrepreneurs. The Economist takes a look into the man and the venture capital scene in India.
