Infospace Head of Mobile Stephen Davis To Leave

Infospace slipped this in right in the peak of the holiday season: its high profile head of mobile Stephen Davis will leave his position Jan 1, as president of mobile and online media. Davis joined the company in November 2005 and was responsible for managing InfoSpace’s mobile entertainment business. He was based in LA.
Now that Infospace is de-emphasizing its consumer mobile content business after a big loss with Cingular as a client, the company says it will now focus on its online and mobile infrastructure businesses. With that focus, Davis didn’t have much left to do….he is the ex-president of Granada America, the U.S.-based development and production division of ITV, and will probably land in a plum position at one of the media or Internet companies.
