Former YouTube head of sales Tony Nethercutt has joined mobile advertising startup AdMob as VP-advertising sales, reports AdAge. Prior to joining YouTube in May, he worked for four years at Yahoo as director of media strategies. When Google acquired YouTube, Nethercutt and another former Yahoo colleague were let go; their departures underscored the acrimony between rivals Google and Yahoo.
AdMob, based in San Mateo, CA, is funded by Sequoia Capital…it competes with the likes of Third Screen Media and Enpocket.
