In a matter of months Sprint Nextel has gone from having a COO, chairman and president/CEO to all of those roles being wrapped up in one exec: Gary Forsee. The Sprint Nextel board voted to make Forsee chairman, succeeding Tim Donahue, who is retiring at the end of the month. Earlier this year, Forsee picked up the duties of COO Len Lauer when the latter left amid criticism of the merger’s results. Forsee was chairman and CEO of Sprint prior to the merger. Now he’s the last man standing. Release. (Via AP.)
