Pasi Ilola, the head of marketing for Sulake Corporation, told MobileMonday that the company planned to launch mobile services for its Habbo Hotel virtual community in the first quarter of 2007. Habbo Hotel has more than one million registered virtual characters. The mobile service will work on both WAP and i-mode and will allow users to “send and receive Habbo messages to friend lists. There will be also mobile news and competitions, My Habbo Home pages, Habbo credit purchases and Habbo Club subscription purchases. User will be able to download games, wallpapers, ringtones and other content”.
