Mobile Subscriber Figures for November

GSM numbers have topped the 100 mil mark while CDMA has touched 36 million. In November:
Total subs: 100,786,048
New Subs: 5,044,457
Metros: Total – 19,471,600, an increase of 494,923 or 2.61 percent
A Circle: Total – 36,058,626, increase of 1,867,148 or 5.46 percent
B Circle: Total – 35,096,746, increase of 2,023,623 or 6.12 percent
C Circle: Total – 10,159,076, increase of 658,763 or 6.93 percent

Interestingly, while the increase in percentage terms in the C circle is the highest, in terms of sheer numbers it remains the lowest. Maximum growth in subscriber base is coming from B circle. More details on the GSM subscriber base here.

In terms of CDMA subs, Reliance Communications has added 1.35 mil subs, at a growth rate of 17.6% over the last quarter, reports moneycontrol. As per Business Standard, 36 mil CDMA subscribers were added in November. With around 136 mil subs, India is at No.4 in the list of countries with most mobile subscribers, behind China (401.7 mil), US and Russia (152.2 mil).
