The rollups in the trade media world continue: Post Newsweek Tech Media, the trade media arm of Washington Post company which includes publications such as Government Computer News, Washington Technology, Government Leader, Defense Systems, has been sold to new-ish B2B media group 1105 Media. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. 1105 Media was formed in April this year, and is backed by PE firms Nautic Partners and Alta Communications in partnership with Neal Vitale, a former Reed Elsevier and Petersen Publishing executive, who is the CEO. Since then it has bought two other B2B media companies: 101communications, and Stevens Publishing.
