Julie Roehm’s unceremonious departure from the top ad job at Wal-Mart will not prevent the e-Media Exchange online auction she championed from moving forward, AdAge reports. A group of advertisers met Thursday to push ahead although Wal-Mart’s future involvement is uncertain. (After reading some of the reports about Roehm departure, hard to see Wal-Mart being thrilled by anything with her fingerprints but you never know.) The idea originated with Roehm when she was a DaimlerChrysler. Advertisers have committed $50 million for the initial test phase, which will be done with eBay. The project has the backing of the ANA and AAAA.
