Globe Telecom Launches Mobile Community Service

Globe Telecom, of the Philippines, has teamed up with Fastmobile, a company that connects mobile communities via integrated communications services, to launch myGlobe IMEVRYWHR, which provides users with a mobile environment where they can connect and share within, and across, mobile communities through a range of communication, commerce and content tools.

The service integrates features, functionality and partners from the internet within one interface, enabling Globe’s subscribers to interact with their online communities from their mobiles, the companies said in a press release. Specifically, myGlobe IMEVRYWHR enables users to share information via voice, messaging and content options within a single user interface (these options include voice, SMS, MMS, email, and IM). The service also lets users access Globe’s G-cash service to make wireless fund transfers, cash withdrawals and payments to partner establishments. Users can subscribe for a day, week or month.
