Here are the latest two global magazines making their entry into India. The Walt Disney (NYSE: DIS) Company will be launching an Indian edition of Disney Adventures in India. Disney Publishing Worldwide India has tied up with Infomedia India for publishing the magazine in the country. It will target tweens and kids (between the age of 8 and 13), and is priced at Rs 40. The 100-page monthly will have over 35 per cent local content.
Exchange4media.com: Condé Nast is launching the Indian edition of fashion magazine Vogue from Autumn 2007. To be published out of Mumbai, this will be the 17th edition of Vogue worldwide, and Condé Nast’s first foray into Indian subcontinent.
Condé Nast India Pvt Ltd’s MD is Alex Kuruvilla. Anna Harvey, one of the senior editors at Condé Nast International, is the Editorial Director of Indian edition of Vogue.
Priya Tanna, formerly with The Times of India and DNA, will be the Editor of Vogue India. Arjun Mehra is the Publisher.
International magazines like Maxim (with Delhi-based Media TransAsia) and Cosmopolitan (with Living Media India) are already in India through licencing agreements.
