News Corp is setting up a production house – Fox Television Studios India Pvt Ltd (FTSI) – in India which forms part of Star India’s backward integration strategy, reports Indiantelevision.com. The broadcaster is likely to get a lot of its format shows and advertiser funded programming produced by FTSI. News Corp has also apointed one of its senior exces in India – Deepak Segal, executive vice-president content and communication, Star India – as the head of FTSI.
FTSI is setting up infrastructure for creating channel, pre-production, production and post-production facilities for content and storage of content.
