SFR Slashes Music Pricing

French operator SFR has halved the price of full-track music, in a bid to get downloads to triple to one million a month as a result. This will be interesting, since it will give an idea of the price elasticity of mobile music — a lot of people claim the operator’s offerings are overpriced, this will give some figures as to how much sales will go up if price goes down. The tracks will now cost 0.99 euro rather than 1.99 euro, with the “all you can eat” option remaining at 14.90 euro per month.
