Cisco helps unwire Singapore

Cisco Systems is working with Singtel to unwire the northern part of Singapore. The two companies will build a wireless mesh network, which is part of Singapore government’s Wireless@SG initiative. Singapore government wants to provide seamless broadband connectivity across the city state – inside homes, in the offices and while on the go. SingTel aims to deploy more than 2,400 hotspots by May 2007.
