Mobile TV Is Critical — Disney

Disney Media Networks Co-Chairman Anne Sweeney has described the ability to watch television on mobile devices as a “critical” area of growth. She expects mobile broadcast TV to be launched in the US in the next 12-18 months, and is in talks with “all the major providers” about putting Disney programming on there. “Disney’s ABC Television network has licensed about 250 hours of its top shows “Lost” and “Desperate Housewives” to South Korean wireless phone operator TU Media Corp”.
