Yahoo China Head Quits After A Month

The Baidu effect: Yahoo China’s president has resigned after barely 40 days on the job, said its Chinese owner, which is revamping the search firm in an effort to make it profitable, reports Reuters. Xie Wen, who was CEO of Chinese financial Web portal before joining Yahoo China, decided to leave his position for personal reasons.
Xie will become a strategic advisor to Alibaba, while Yahoo China’s head of strategy development Zeng Ming will serve as acting president. Yahoo China was absorbed by Alibaba last year when parent Yahoo bought a 40 percent stake in Alibaba for $1 billion.
