UPDATE: NOW CLOSED: I knew the rush was going to be crazy, judging from last time, but even I am blown off by the response…I wake up on West Coast to find the East coasters have snapped up all in matter of couple of hours! I know something needs to change for a normal registration process to happen (so that people who can’t be on the site/newsletter in that 2-3 hour window can also register)…next time maybe we’ll charge or something.
Original Post: Registration Open: We invite you to our second NYC ContentNext Mixer of paidContent.org and Moconews.net readers Dec 5th evening, 2006, at T New York.
We'll have a great mix of people from big-media content companies, small and indie media/content providers, newspaper, entertainment, radio, television, mobile companies, technology/vendor companies, VCs, bankers, analysts, journalists, etc there, so be prepared for some lateral thinking while networking.
We will have an editorial guest: Gordon Crovitz, publisher of the Wall Street Journal, president of the Consumer Media Group (overseeing print/digital WSJ, Marketwatch, Barrons) and EVP-Dow Jones. It so happens that WSJ is announcing plans to the relaunch of the newspaper (the WSJ 3.0 project that it has been working on for a year now), so it will be a timely Q&A about that and other issues.
The NYC mixer sponsors are Platinum: The Jordan, Edmiston Group and IBM Media & Entertainment and Gold: NBC Universal Digital Media, Copyright Clearance Center, and Inform Technologies.
