This is probably the best one-day trip I have had to do in a while: I will be in Bloomington, Indiana on Monday, to talk to the students and faculty our the IU Journalism School about, well, the future of media and our company. This after about six years since I finished my Masters in journalism from there. Lots of memories to scoop up in a day. I could say a lot about my days at Indiana, my then gateway into U.S., but most of all, the school left me alone to do whatever I wanted…and the generous Knight Foundation paid for the whole thing.
I doubt we have many readers in Bloomington outside of J-School, but if there are, ping me (rali AT paidcontent.org) and we can meet up Monday evening.
P.S.: The IUJ site was designed by in part by me when I was there in 2000, so you can see the color influence between that and paidContent.org. And oh, the school building is called “Ernie Pyle Hall”, after the famous war journalist Ernie Pyle, who began his journalism training at IU.
