The travel channel is going to be promoted using expressindia.com and properties of the Indian Express Group.
In related news: the Sona group, which has the franchise for European car rental service SIXT in India, has partnered with makemytrip.com and indiatimestravel.com for offering car rental services through their portals. For Indian Express, this is another way of adding to revenues from online services. For MMT, the greater the distribution network, the greater the probability of getting that sale.

  1. With intensifying competition in the travel space, number of cross-sell deals will see an upward movement.
However a word of caution. To be more profitable all such deals will have to go beyond just link exchange programmes. All the concerned parties will have to co-opt for a long-term online co-branding strategy in order to really enjoy the full scale benefits such alliances bring along.
